International Cooperation

Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island (SNEI) is a township development project jointly supported by Jiangsu & Nanjing Government as well as Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry.

SNEI is also a flagship project of Singapore - Jiangsu Cooperation Council (SJCC) and Singapore-Nanjing Special Project Cooperation Panel (SNCP). Leveraging on the experience & wisdom of Singapore and China in green and sustainability, our vision is to build SNEI into an “Eco Hi-tech City, Low Carbon Smart Island”. With a total land area of 15 km2, the island is located in the downtown area of Jianye district, Nanjing City, along the Yangtze River.

Development Direction

Singapore Nanjing Eco Hi-tech Island is the key township project under Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council. It aims to form a “two-wheel driving” industry system, which oriented by industries like new generation of information communication technology and ecological and environmental protection. The industries will focus on AI and water science respectively. With the new industry system, it is enabled to construct a globally-renowned area for AI R&D and application, as well as water technology application and demonstration. Ultimately, it will become a globally top-tier “Eco and Hi-tech City, Low-carbon and Smart Island”.
